In the last few years, consumers are becoming more conscious of what they are using in terms of fabrics and where it comes from. Brands like Stella McCartney and high street shop H&M who are fans of using eco-friendly fabrics in their collections, which is amazing for the Earth. Fish and eel leather is one of the newest innovations out there to replace animal leathers. Animal leather has a lot of backlash, due to the environmental factors that it contributes and animal rights.

Eel and fish skins are usually disposed off after separated from the flesh, so it’s a great idea to use it for fabrics. There are now many designers that are using it, designers such as Dior and Prada are using it in their handbags and clothing.
